Prayer is a spiritual way of describing how we talk with God. It is the way we can respond to God as He calls us to come to Him. God continues to call out to each of His children, every day, drawing us close to Him, wanting us to realize that He truly is just a prayer away. Prayer will allow you to experience intimacy with God. “Call to me,” the Lord says in Jeremiah 33:3, “and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things which you do not know.” In prayer we get a taste of eternal life, when we will know God intimately. Prayer is not a time to learn or study more about God, but instead, is time spent with God. Prayer allows you to become aware of the strength and love imparted to us by the miraculous presence of God’s Holy Spirit in our lives.

James 5:16 says," Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."
